We're in it for the long run.
Endurance Center isn't a holding company. It's a family of media and technology platforms that grew out of one ski site — and it's still growing.
Where this came from
We build what we use.
It started in 2002 with FasterSkier, and for a long time that was the whole thing: covering cross-country skiing for the people who actually do it. Everything since has come out of the same room. Athletes wanted a better way to work with their coaches, so Soren happened. We were tired of driving two hours to find out the snow was wrong, so Snow Scout happened. Results kept disappearing off the internet, so Pace44 happened.
None of it was a strategy. It was the community asking for things and us being stubborn enough to build them. That is a slower way to grow a company and a much better way to grow a family of platforms people actually keep using.
Endurance sport teaches you consistency, patience, and a long view. We apply the same to this. Nothing here is being fattened up for a sale. We are trying to build the things we wish existed, keep them running for decades, and make them free or fair to be part of. If that sounds like your kind of thing, there is room.
What we believe
Four things we keep coming back to.
We stay
Nothing here gets built to be sold. If we start something, we plan to still be running it in ten years.
We speak plainly
No fluff and no marketing voice. We talk about the sport the way we talk about it at the wax bench.
Everything connects
One Endurance ID, one community. What each platform learns, the next one starts with.
Everyone's welcome
First season or twentieth, racing or just out for a walk. There is no bar to clear to belong here.
The people behind this
For 24 years this has been a group project. Writers filing from wax rooms and finish lines. Photographers standing around in the cold. Podcast hosts still breaking down a race long after midnight. An IT guy on call whenever something falls over at 2am. Coaches and athletes who kept telling us what was missing, and subscribers who paid for it because they wanted it to exist. Endurance Center is the name on the door. They're what's behind it.
